2017 UMW Meetings: November 18th
UMW Reading Program:
The UMW has a reading program which is open to all women of the church.
The Reading Program encourages members to think critically about current issues through an annual selection of books.
It offers an excellent opportunity to deepen your spirituality and broaden your understanding of our mission work. There are four different plans you may choose from.
If you choose Plan 1, you will choose one book from five different categories for a total of five books.
The categories are Education for Mission, Nurturing for the Community, Spiritual Growth, Social Action, and Leadership Development.
Plan 2 requires you to read ten books, Plan 3 requires 15 books, and Plan 4 requires 20 books.
When you have completed a book, fill out a form which is located outside of the parlor.
This year they are allowing you to choose from any of the lists since 2011.
The books are located on the UMW book cart just outside of the Parlor. You may start reading anytime!
If you have any questions, contact the church office.
UMW Upcoming Events for 2018:
Spring Rummage Sale!
Watch your bulletin for announcements in February.
Your chairs for the sale are: Teresa Tibbe, Nancy Kidder & Mari Anne Jones
Donations may be placed on the porch. We do ask that a 3 ft walkway is left in the center of the porch! If you can place your items in boxes it makes them much easier to stack. All leftovers from the sale will be donated to North Kent Connect.
If you have questions please contact Teresa at 616-799-0081, call or text.
